ConferenzaGNL 2017, Naples, Mostra D’Oltremare, 10-11 May 2017, is the key event in the Mediterranean area on direct uses of LNG that, over the last years, have continued to spread internationally in the maritime and heavy road transport as well as industries and isolated networks.
LNG is also entering other sectors, such as inland water transports, railways and aerospace.
Today, the international socio-political and economic framework is particularly favorable for the spread of small scale LNG solutions, because they are strictly functional to new global energy and environmental policy objectives.
Because of current dynamics of energy demand and commodity prices, major infrastructure investments are losing momentum in favor of smaller projects and solutions, such as small scale LNG ones, that are presenting good development opportunities.
In this framework, Italy has the unique opportunity to take a leading role in the development of a Euro-Mediterranean “platform” for the small scale LNG towards countries of the Northern shore and even more those of the Southern and Eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
