After passing the European examination on February 21st, the decree that modifies the law currently in force was signed by the Ministries of the Interior and Economic Development. The text related to - Amendments and additions to the decree 24/05/2002, pertains to: “Fire prevention regulations for the design, construction and operation of roadside distribution systems for natural gas for motor vehicles”and it was published in the Official Journal n. 67 of 20/03/2019, with entry into force after 30 days. The next steps are: developing an online database of users to which one can enroll and the creation of a tutorial that illustrates the key points of self refuelling. The methane user will be able to self refuel his vehicle also during the closing times of the sales points, as already happens for traditional fuels (petrol and diesel).
